The relay, in the open

The relay proves and settles what people send through it, and keeps Bitcoin’s state on Ethereum current for everyone. Here is what it earns, what that costs and the tenth of its fee income that buys TAC. Below: settles it has proved that anyone can send, and how to pay for its proofs.

Where it goes

  1. Fees paid in ETH, or in a token the relay converts, land in the settle wallet. A tenth of them goes to the TAC buyback, every pass; the rest pays for settles and proving.
  2. Fees paid in TAC are never sold: the relay moves them to the protocol reserve.
  3. A wrap’s tip pays for settling it.
  4. The buyback turns its ETH into TAC on the public market, a little at a time, and sends the TAC to the reserve.

Proved, waiting for a sender

Anyone can send these. Each is a settle the relay has proved. The pool’s settle is open to every account, and whoever sends one is paid the fee its proof binds, in the asset it names. Your wallet pays the network fee. Each settle is tried first, so one already sent is not sent again. To send them as they come, run your own relay.

Pay for proofsprover account

Every proof the relay makes is paid in PROVE, the token of Succinct’s prover network, from one prover account. PROVE sent to that account is put to work within a few minutes, or at the next half-hourly top-up when it is under 2 PROVE. About 0.4 PROVE pays for one proof.

PROVE

The prover account is 0x68575B073DE49a94e3E3ACf6F3A0d6E3b66267C7. PROVE goes to it in one transfer. With ETH, one transaction swaps it to PROVE through zRouter and sends the PROVE straight there. The least it may buy is set before you confirm.

Prove your own actions with your own PROVE, privately: your Tacit account pays Succinct’s prover for its own proofs and sends each one itself, so the relay neither proves nor sends them. Set it up →
